Volunteer - Outreach Programme (Intake)

The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is recruiting two volunteers for the outreach program. Under the direct supervision of the Executive manager and in coordination with the Protection Monitorings officer and assistant. Purpose/objective of the position: Outreach interviewer The volunteer will be assisting in interviewing beneficiaries availing at CLDH’s center. The volunteer will be asked to identify their needs and assess the right assistance. Moreover, the volunteer will in collaboration with the Protection Monitoring officer do case management and follow up with the beneficiaries. The focus of this assistance will be social help and/or medical help. Responsibilities/duties: The volunteer will be the first contact to the beneficiaries visiting the center He/she will be responsible for the assessment of their needs; He/she will be able to identify other NGO’s, INGO’s or other organizations for referrals Do direct case management and follow up with the beneficiary (under supervision of CLDH’s staff); Attend the weekly meeting to address gaps and problems in the humanitarian assistance in Lebanon; Directly collaborate with CLDH doctor concerning medical cases; Professional Standards All CLDH staff is required to adhere to CLDH and Centre Nassim Codes of conducts. Experience required: Medical background preferred. Experience in working in the humanitarian field and be familiar with the Lebanese humanitarian sector. Experience in working with medical cases, preferably with a medical education. Competencies Fluency in Lebanese Arabic is required. Moreover, a basic knowledge of English is needed. Be a social and welcoming person that wants to make people feel at ease. Have a passion for Human Rights and helping deprived people in Lebanon. Maturity and professional ability to handle sensitive information and ability to respect the confidentiality of such information while working with CLDH and even after the contract ends.
