Internship with Advocacy Department
BRIEF of WVL and INTERNSHIP

World Vision has been active in Lebanon since 1975. World Vision promotes the wellbeing of Lebanon’s children and their communities through emergency relief, community development and advocacy.
WVL through in its National office, advocacy department in Mansourieh, will host an intern in an internship position with WVL. The internship position will consist of Advocacy and Research assistance and will be under the supervision of the Advocacy Coordinator.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES UNDER INTERNSHIP
- Review and enter all advocacy publications and information, education and communication material into a database after analyzing the relevance of the resources to specific sectors and potential of use
- Conduct an in-depth research and literature review on violent child discipline in Lebanon and the previous advocacy done on this issue by civil society organizations
- Conduct a desk review and fact sheets on specific child rights under the CRC with reference to existing legal frameworks and CRC report submitted by GoL
- Engage in field activities and support in organizing and planning for field trainings and sessions.
TIMELINE
The consultant is expected to start working on the above mentioned task in April for a period of Maximum 2 months. The duration of the internship and working days will be agreed on with the selected Intern.
PAYMENT TO INTERN
WVL will pay to Student a stipend of $ 250 per month. This stipend will in no event constitute a wage or salary. Employee benefits are not provided to intern by WVL.
INTERNSHIP EXPENSES
WVL will pay 8,000 LL per working day as compensation for transportation costs incurred for the training and will provide the intern with needed equipment to carry on the required tasks.
NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS
- Undertaking educational studies in social work, public health or any relevant field.
- Strong arabic and English communication and writing skills
