Data Entry And Quality Control Validator (For Ante-Mortem/post-Mortem Database)

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION As part of the ICRC Forensic team, this position is involved with the data entry and quality control of information collected from families of Missing, referred to as Ante-Disappearance data. This information is collected for persons missing from the Lebanese armed conflict and managed by the ICRC.    Specific Tasks Enter data collected on Ante Disappearance Data (ADD) questionnaires into the Ante-Mortem / Post-Mortem Database (DB) following ICRC guidelines and local procedures. Performs quality control measures on ADD (Ante Disappearance Data) questionnaires. With proven aptitude and experience with the AMPM DB, validates the data entered into the Ante-Mortem / Post-Mortem Database (AM PM DB) following ICRC guidelines and local procedures. Assists the Database Manager in the management of individual paper files and reporting requirements. Minimum required knowledge & experience:  High school or professional diploma 3-5 years work experience in a similar function Background in a forensic science Good knowledge of written and spoken English Good knowledge of written and spoken French an asset Good computer skills Basic knowledge of 2 national languages Good analytical skills Standard function description: Performs various data processing on computer mainly independently. Performs internal and external follow-up of individual cases. Carries out translations Ensures follow-up and updates of specific files/databases  Skills The ability to work independently and as part of a team A conscientious and responsible working attitude Accuracy and good attention to detail The ability to do the same task for long periods of time The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines A positive approach in a busy working environment       A good understanding of data confidentiality issues
