IT Project Implementation Request
I. INTRODUCTION
Project Background Information
The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the United States Forest Service (USFS) that provides technical assistance and institutional support for sustainable native tree reforestation and wildfire management in support of community stability and social cohesion. With administrative offices in Beirut, LRI technical experts manage a multi-year work program of activities throughout Lebanon in collaboration with grassroots organizations and local communities.
II. PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
LRI seeks an IT Implementation company to upgrade the current IT system available with a max of 28 stations (2 servers, desktops and notebooks)
The project is expected to include the installation/configuration of the following:
Server cabinet 42 u with patch panel for 23 nodes
Server installation and configuration (Windows Server 2016 with all roles and features need to be installed).
Domain Active Directory creation and join domain for all users.
Profile re-configuration (plus all needed tasks to recopy old data from older profiles).
Re-configuration of all network printers and devices
Firewall installation and configuration (Model Cisco Meraki MX65) plus policies, quota management and users’ restrictions.
NAS back up: HDDs replacement, backup software installation and back up configuration with process automation.
Offsite cloud based backup: software installation, configuration and process automation
Successful validation of the work carried (demo and handover).
Submission of a report detailing and describing the IT infrastructure and network configured (plus all documentations needed).
III. EXPECTED DELIVERABLES TIMEFRAME
In close coordination with the LRI’s Administrative Coordinator, the IT implementer entity is expected to conduct and deliver the tasks mentioned above by the beginning of April 2017.
IV. REQUIREMENTS
The IT implementer employees requested to finish up the project should possess the following competencies, and experience:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience in IT infrastructure and networking (5 to 10 years)
- Firm understanding of Microsoft based networks and operation systems (preferably Microsoft Certified and CISCO certified).
- Full Knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, switching, etc.)
- Firewall and network security solution
- Experience in project management with a focus on analysis and results
- Languages: Arabic, English
Skills required:
- Service-oriented mindset
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Understand the business users’ requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
