Import Export Logistics Officer

The Import Export Logistics Officer handles specific logistical files independently. Implements and runs basic logistic procedures and negotiates basic contractual matters with external interlocutors. In addition to assisting the logistician IMPEX officer in charge on import/export/transit activity in Lebanon. Main responsibilities Handle import clearance from the airport and port, including relevant documentation, assigned by IMPEX in charge Handle export of items by road, sea or air, including relevant documentation, assigned by IMPEX in charge Obtaining the best freight rates (various modes of transport) for different outgoing        destinations in close coordination with IMPEX in charge Follow up transport contracts of export items, preparation for all necessary shipping documents for all outgoing shipment. Follow up and assist IMPEX in charge on transit stock, and ensure it is stored to ICRC standards and a stock record is maintained Check and verify the accuracy of all IMPEX invoices. Administrative handling and forwarding of incoming and outgoing diplomatic pouches for Geneva, Manila, Damascus Administrative handling and forwarding of incoming and outgoing Cargo for ICRC BEY official use. Profile University degree in Business Administration / Transport / Logistics focus. 3 - 5 years’ work experience in the Import/Export and shipping. Excellent computer skills Good analytical skills Proven communication skills. Proficient command of written and spoken English Confirmed capacity to adhere to general ICRC procedures Methodical person
