Basic Digital Literacy Trainer (Lebanese Nationals Only)

Assignment The Life-skill trainer is responsible for delivering basic IT training for women at the SDC Jbeil   Functions Train Women on life skills  Provide digital literacy training to women at SDC Jbeil  **Please note: This is a local position. Only Lebanese citizens are eligible to apply.** Basic Introduction to the computer Introduction to Windows Typing Windows Navigation Basic Word Basic Excel Windows File Management Internet Navigation Internet Search EMAIL Expected from Contractor The contractor is expected to ensure the following: Attend the entire contract period: Course cycle: Each class (group of 7 students) will attend two 2-hour courses per week, or a total of 32 hours over two months. Trainer hours: The trainer will provide trainings twice a week, 2 sessions per day (9:00am-11:00 am) and (12:00-2:00pm) from end of March 2017 to end September 2017, for a total working hours of 192 hours over 6 months. Provide samples of Training books/material for distribution Encourage women to work in a positive friendly environment Supervise the work of the women during the training Encourage women to work in a positive friendly environment Be patient and positive and provide explanation when necessary Coordinate with SDC Director and Project Coordinator with all updates related to the implementation process. In addition to the above, kindly note the following: The beneficiaries’ drop-out is to be taken into account, and course should be adapted to their needs. Training hours must be decided in consultation with interested beneficiaries to maximize attendance and avoid drop outs.   Expected Deliverables One Basic Computer curriculum of the duration of 32  hours. Curriculum design for the full course content to be delivered one week prior to start of training; The training calendar with session titles; The Facilitator’s Guide organized by training sessions describing with the support of project officer. Session topic Learning objectives, Duration of the session, List of key contents and talking points, Sequence of steps to deliver the session, List of required materials one week in advance of trainings; Attendance sheets of each training day. Target audience and profile The training will be delivered to mixed groups (Syrian and Lebanese), aged 18-55 with at least basic literacy and numeracy. Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by ACTED protection officer as in reference to ACTED’s targeting criteria. Experience required:  Previous experience in delivering IT trainings, preferably to women groups. Advanced Microsoft Office skills Certification in IT preferred but not required.
