Hygiene Promotion Assistant - Akkar

ROLE PURPOSE: The Hygiene Promotion Assistant will be based primarily in Save the Children’s office in Kweikhat, North Lebanon, and will assist in the delivery of smooth implementation of hygiene related component. This includes daily implementation of hygiene promotion sessions, and water testing for the houses targeted under other shelter/ Water, Sanitation and Hygiene components. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Hygiene Promotion Officer Reporting to: NA  KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Program implementation   Participate in the distribution of beneficiary ID and ATM cards and in-kind items to pre-identified beneficiaries. Contribute to the registration and verification of beneficiaries by collecting appropriate data Conduct sensitization and awareness sessions for beneficiaries and other stakeholders on hygiene practices including information sessions for children in the community and schools Contribute to the cleaning campaigns preparation and supervision contribute to training provision for community volunteers, water committee members, teachers, health workers and follow up on their implementation in the field Conduct community mobilization for all Water, Sanitation and Hygiene - related activities in the operational area Participate in the distribution of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene kits to pre-identified beneficiaries  Program monitoring Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of activities by collecting appropriate data from selected beneficiaries, using pre-made questionnaires Collect market data from local shops and suppliers Conduct awareness sessions on Save the Children’s Feedback Mechanism System, and encourage its use Contribute to data entry, as needed Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.  QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES Minimum 1 year of professional exercise in the humanitarian field Degree or other relevant qualification in public health, communication or training Good computer skills Ability to listen and adapt Excellent facilitation skills Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English. The capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult and insecure working circumstances. Experience in field work and community mobilization Experience in conducting training and sensitization sessions for communities and beneficiaries
