Overall Responsibility
Team Leader will be responsible for assisting and providing supports to the Project Coordinator and Officer in the implementation of Orphans Sponsorship Project activities in Bekaa area.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and implementation of needs assessment, psychosocial support programme and follow-up of the activators’ team under the direct supervision of the Project Officer.
Organizing, coordinating and supervising the work of the activators assigned to them and facilitating good communication within the team
Ensuring that all relevant documents are prepared for needs assessment, psychosocial activities, awareness sessions, open days and any other activities for the targeted orphans.
Ensuring that orphans’ data gathered are punctual and adequate to be analyzed.
Planning and monitoring the absence/attendance of the activators and report to the Project Officer possible misconduct.
Participating in monitoring protection cases, allegations or possible violations of the Child Protection Policy under the supervision of the project officer.
Providing support to orphans and families with protection concerns in the process of psychosocial support.
Providing reports as required and directed by Project Coordinator and Officer.
Providing ongoing guidance and support to activators in the field/ project areas.
Archiving and Filing all data and documents gathered by the team, and ensuring data are well organized both soft and hard copies.
Evaluating the project’s activities using several techniques and methods.
Respecting and applying Islamic Relief policies and procedures such as “Child Protection Policy”.
Perform any other task as assigned by the Project Coordinator.

Person Specifications
Experience / Education/Skills- Essential
A bachelor degree of Social Work (or any other related field) from an accredited University.
Minimum of 1-2 years of relative experience in a similar position, preferred- with NGOs/ INGOs.
Experience in working with children, solid knowledge in child protection field.
Ability To
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty.
Records management systems (both automated and paper files) to ensure accurate maintenance of files and ease of retrieval.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
IT skills
Experienced in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting.
General Skills
V. Good technical reporting skills.
Strong planning, communications and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
Diplomacy, tact & negotiation skills.
