The mental Health coordinator will be recruited in the frame of a protection Project funded by UNICEF
The mental health coordinator will oversee the psychotherapists on psychological intervention with families, Lebanese and Syrian, located in three areas of Akkar, (Jord Kayet’e, Halba and Sahel) offering them technical support to improve their skills and provide better services/support to people in need of emotional and psychological support.
He/She will support the psychotherapists to identify individual’s cases and follow up on the therapy procedures and referral pathway/strategy to another specialist when needed. He/She will also supervise the organization of thematic discussion groups based on identified needs.
Essential Job Duties/Scope of work
1- Prepare monitoring tools for: individual intervention, psycho education group and support group, to be shared and discussed with the psychotherapists
2- Prepare the template of weekly and monthly report to be shared and discussed with the psychotherapists and project management teams.
3- Support the psychotherapist in identifying: the cases, challenges of treatment plans, and provision of suggestion and guidance in the intervention plans when needed; i.e. working with the local psychotherapists to ensure that appropriate consultations, recommendations, and treatment plans are adequately developed and implemented for those that seek support
4- Review and unification of the topics related to psycho education groups
5- Provision of on-site follow up with psychotherapists to ensure compliance with relevant SOP and policies and procedures;
6- Provide the project management team with monthly updates on the activities
7- Assisting in the implementation of confidential documentation of treatment records ( e.g. client history, intake, assessment, progress notes…)
8- Discuss the suggestions of psychotherapists and provide guidance on the cases to be referred to other specialists and/or organizations
9- Help identifying training needs and ensure that these needs are met
10- Participate in needed meetings, trainings, roundtables… as requested by the project management team.
Training, Reporting, coordination and Evaluation
- Participate in the different activities that are common to team members
- Share with AND association all useful information’s to a qualitative analysis of the social situation in the villages
- Inform regularly the project coordinator about any difficulties met in work
- Record progress and submit timely (weekly and monthly) reports, implementation records, activity reports, minutes of meetings, etc...
- Monitor the work of all psychotherapists to guarantee that all the villages (Syrian and Lebanese) receive the same quality support
- Compile all monitoring, reporting records for the project, merging the data’s and templates and preparing progress and interim and final narrative reports for the Donor.

Education and experience
ü Bachelor Degree in psychology
ü Psychotherapist
ü Minimum 4 years field experience
