Nurse For The Harm Reduction Center “Escale” For Drug Users

Work under the supervision of the Coordinator of the center Job Purpose Follow up Drug Users, at Harm Reduction center by: Organize, direct and carry-out all nursing activities related to the Drug users needs, according to Opiate Substitution Treatment protocols (OST), and ensure effective care and follow up in the drop in for beneficiaries.   Duties and Responsibilities:   Provides nursing services, treatments and deliver Harm reduction services Ensure regular follow up on health issues for IDUs patients Assess the healthcare needs of patients and families and determines the need for consultations with other services and health-care providers Interview the patient, identify the care requirements action plan Provide education and awareness session for beneficiaries and families Provide Testing and Counseling’s for HIV/HBC/HCV Provide case management for HBV, HCV and HIV positive patients (blood tests, treatment, files, medical issues, vaccination, referral…) Provide education about Harm Reduction programs including overdose management Handle the IDUs patient’s personal files (personal data, medical records, frequency sheet, prescription, report, codes… Writing and fill patients’ reports Build contact and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Health and public hospitals (Rafic Hariri and Daher El Bachek) concerning Opiates Substitutes Therapy (OST) protocol and issues or concerns of patients. Prepare and coordinate psychiatric consultations with the patients and their families. Contribute and participate in ESCALE events (preparation and application on site) directly related to addiction problems or HIV awareness. Prepares and presents monthly reports Attends meetings with the management   SKILLS Knowledge and Experience in HIV/AIDS, Drug Use and harm Reduction fields of work is an asset High level of sense of responsibilities Openness and no judgmental thinking Ability to work under pressure Ability to write report and fill data requested Strong organization skills Critical-Thinking Skills Teamwork and Cooperation Work cooperatively and effectively with others Proficient in English and Arabic both written and oral French is a plus   Experience 3 to 5 years up relevant experience Bachelor degree in Nursing Experience with NGO is a plus Experience in community health is a plus
