Field Officer (Lebanese Nationals Only)

  CISP is active in North Lebanon implementing a project funded different Donors and targeting Syrian Refugees and Lebanese hosting community in the Governorates of North Lebanon. Sectors of activity are: WASH (WASH improvement in Informal Settlements, monitoring of WASH service etc.) and Basic Assistance (limited to distribution of Core relief items). One of the main activities are related to the awareness and social community mobilization campaign of vulnerable Syrian refugees and targeted hosting communities in order to address behavioral changes. CISP intends to recruit a Field Officer with experience in WASH, Shelter and Basic Assistance programs to be in charge of the successful implementation of CISP projects in the area of assignment.   Under the coordination and monitoring of the Project Coordinator, he/she will be responsible to: Participate in planning and implementing the needs assessment and new WASH interventions in collaboration with Project coordinators; Help plan and carry out needs assessments, baseline studies and periodic studies, and feedback findings to stakeholders; Help plan and carry out Awareness campaign sessions for Syrian refugees and targeted hosting community; Assist and coordinate in weekly working plan and activities according to projects’ timeframe; Plan and assist in the distribution of relief kits and other WASH NFIs; Design and manage a plan to monitor activities, outputs and impact and help the Project Coordinators to adapt the programme as needed; Identification, or facilitation, of community structures through which the WASH activities can be implemented; Collect data and prepare regular reports on activities and WASH conditions for monitoring; Schedule regular site visits for monitoring and supervision to ensure quality of services, accurate data collection and feedback forms; Meet with team regularly to update project monitoring plan and discuss challenges/solutions to report to Project Coordinators; Compile data and submit high quality structured reports; On a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis (according to necessity) write a report of the activities undergone with emphasis on problem solving and achieved results, with the support of Project Coordinator; Participate in trainings and workshops held by UN Agencies, partners, as well as relevant meetings; Support in formation and training of WASH committees, in cooperation with technical team; Liaison with local authorities including those competent for security in the districts of North Lebanon and wherever requested; Develop and reinforce the relationships with INGO, LNGO, authorities, community focal points and any other stakeholders on the field. Report to the Project Coordinator and to the Area Manager.   THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS: University degree or at least 1 to 2 years of relevant field experience in similar position; Proficiency in English and Arabic both oral and written; Good Computer skills including good knowledge of Office Package, Email packages, etc.; Very good capacity in problem solving; Very good communication skills; Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment; Good analytical skills; Willingness and ability to be flexible; Be rigorous, precise, calm and polite; Excellent inter personnel skills and team spirit; Valid driving license; Desirable: Residence in North Lebanon will be considered an asset; University degree in Social, Human or Health Sciences will be considered a plus.   Interested candidates must forward: an updated CV (in English) complete with at least 3 professional references and their full contacts (name, organization/company, position, telephone number, email address); please, note that the successful candidate MUST have a valid driving license.
