Peace Building Technical Coordinator

Summary of Position The Technical Coordinator will work closely with the Project Coordinator and will be responsible for providing technical guidance on the implementation of a 12-month project a project which aims to create a space for dialogue around conflict issues and strengthen community stakeholders’ capacities to collaborate with one another in addressing conflicts arising from the Syrian refugee crisis. Responsibilities Work with the Project Coordinator on the implementation of the project activities. Provide technical guidance and expertise related to peacebuilding for project staff and partner organisations. Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities Contribute to strategic planning for the project and ensure that the project activities contribute to the overall goal and strategy of the project. Contribute to the development of training curricula and modules related to the project. Assist in delivering trainings on peacebuilding-related topics for project staff, partners and participants. Ensure that all needed tools are being developed in a timely manner and properly used by the implementation team (this also includes participants database, round-tables note-taking, etc.) Oversee the quality of the ongoing monitoring, centralise all data and provide timely feedback for the M&E and Management teams, as well as project partners and staff. Contribute to writing narrative project reports to submit to the donor. Contribute to developing communication materials on the project. Monitor and review activity and partner reports from the field. Conduct visits to project locations and activities over the course of the project to evaluate the technical implementation of the project activities and deliver recommendations accordingly. Actively participate in technical workgroups responsible for the program follow-up in which the expert can provide positive contributions; i.e. training sessions, wrap up sessions, bimonthly evaluation meetings etc. As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties. Requirements and Qualifications Lebanese citizen Minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Familiarity with the practice of peacebuilding, the refugee response and the Lebanese context. Demonstrable networks in Akkar, Beqaa and/or Mount Lebanon. Previous training experience in conflict transformation, mediation, NVC, leadership, dialogue facilitation is a strong advantage. Skills Extensive experience in quality improvement projects in dialogue and conflict transformation programs Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies; Demonstrated interpersonal, coordination, negotiation and diplomatic skills; Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various partners; Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations; Experience working with youth; Excellent interpersonal and networking skills Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic; Strong oral and written communications skills; Demonstrated writing and grants management skills; Cultural sensitivity and adaptability; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel; Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail;
