Ict Officer

LAL is recruiting an ICT officer for the period of 6 months. The officer MUST have prior Andoid development experience. Primary task: Android app development Secondary Tasks:  Unix server administration in a LAMP environment R & D in educational technology Assist in innovative ICT4EDU projects    Required Skills: The ideal candidate would have: Experience in Android mobile app development Experience in various aspects of the mobile lifecycle including application development (application structure, device and operating system API’s, debugging, performance, security) and deployment Hands on Mobile app development experience using android developer studio. A thorough knowledge of mobile software engineering principals, object-oriented programming, and the software development life cycle. Experience creating XML / XSD specs and Web services using REST & SOAP Good knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures. Experience with SDLC and Agile Development Methodology to deliver projects. Strong knowledge of Python Strong knowledge of PHP Good  knowledge of Unix and LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) environments Good knowledge of content management systems (Drupal, Joomla, etc ...) Good knowledge of Moodle platform is a preference Git / GitHub experience is a preference Strong organizational and problem solving abilities Good verbal and written communication skills A researcher and quick learner The officer will work fulltime from LAL's offices in Monot. He / She will report to the ICT manager.
