Under the overall supervision of Head of IOM Office in Lebanon and direct supervision of the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator, the incumbent will perform the following functions:
Contribute to the design and development of new programmes/projects on emergency & post-crisis activities and any other migration-related topics in close coordination with the relevant IOM units.
Review current projects and their implementation and design as well as the transition strategy from emergency to recovery/development.
Monitor mission’s compliance with programme reporting requirements and prepare periodic and annual reports to be submitted to donors.
Collect, compile and analyze overall information on IOM’s role and presence in Lebanon, activities, initiatives, programmes / projects and achievements.
Prepare regular periodic and ad-hoc reports, situation, thematic and operational updates for sharing with internal and external counterparts, including government, donors, partners, RO, HQ etc.
Prepare background information documents, notes, speeches and presentations for the Head of Office and other senior staff on various topics of relevance to IOM Mission as required.
Contribute to the development of policy, strategic and programmatic recommendations for IOM’s planning as well as any publications, public information documents, website, press releases, etc as required with close coordination with the Head of Office.
Write, edit and produce timely public information material for press briefing notes, sitreps, presentations, press releases etc. for national or global requests for websites, social media, newsletters and other media channels in coordination with relevant unit.
Provide programme support as required to different programme managers, particularly with reference to multi-sectorial themes and issues such as those related to protection of particular cohorts (i.e. Lebanese returnees).
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

• Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, International Relations, Humanitarian affairs or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
• University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience

• Excellent drafting and editing skills.
• Experience liaising with governmental authorities, other national/ international institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
