Project Manager

Main tasks and responsibilities: -       Developing, implementing and monitoring the local program of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS) (e.g. the organization of round tables, workshops, exchange programs) -       Establishing and maintain a network with cooperation partners from Lebanon respectively Syria and Iraq active in the field of peace and conflict, peace building, and post-conflict settings -       Developing and contributing to RLS analytical and public relation work -       Supporting the overall performance and further development of RLS office in Beirut -       Assisting in setup and support content of the office infrastructure in Beirut -       Effectively communicating relevant information to the Director and the team of RLS and to the headquarters of RLS in Berlin   Professional and personal requirements: -       Master’s degree in social science or related fields -       Good analytical and factual understanding of Lebanese and regional politics (Syria, Iraq), civil society and grassroots movements -       Minimum of 5 years professional experience in project management or related fields -       Working experience with NGOs in the region -       Sharing the understandings and values of RLS -       Willingness to travel -       Convenience in working in an international setting -       Ability to work in a small team, conduct tasks independently and professionally -       Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic; German is an asset -       Highly motivated, highly communicative and creative, well-organized
