Pss And Conflict Resolution Trainer

Under the technical supervision of the Protection Program Manager and the supervision of the Arts and Culture Center coordinator, Basmeh and Zeitooneh is looking to recruit a consultant trainer to deliver a workshop on conflict analysis and resolution in Shatila. The workshops are addressed to youth aged 15-25 years old and seek to increase the knowledge of participants and provide skills that they will use in their daily interactions within the community. The trainer will support the project implementation through the following: -          Analyzing project context to support the overall project implementation in Shatila. -          Developing tools for conflict analysis and conflict mitigation that are culturally sensitive and age-adapted. -          Preparing an outline of the workshops’ content and plan the dates of the trainings in accordance with the overall project work plan. -          Delivering weekly sessions about conflict analysis, peace and conflict factors, conflict transformation and conflict mitigation. -          Supporting the documentation of the project by working with the consulting artist on tools that will enhance the use of art in conflict mitigation. -          Providing session reports and feedback of participants to the project management. Education: -          Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in alternative dispute resolution, fine arts, law, social sciences or related field.  Relevant qualifications and experience may be accepted. Work Experience -          A minimum of 5 years of experience in training or related fields including in an multicultural/conflict sensitive environment. -          Experience in conducting training in conflict management to youth groups. Languages -          Fluency in Arabic and English is required; this is mandatory for the facilitation of the workshops as well as reporting requirements.
