Purpose / Project Description:
The Human Resources Department at Mercy Corps Lebanon has the opportunity of providing training for those who are interested in having an overview on the different HR functions such as Personnel & Administration, Recruitment, Performance Management, HR Database Tracking and reporting, HR Reports, as per the set policies and procedures of MC International.
Under the supervision of the HR Officer for Recruitment and with the support of the HR Team, the Intern will be requested to assist and provide support for HR Services.
Learning Objectives:
Introduction to MC International Standards pertaining Job Files, Personnel Files & Employee Checklist and all other HR documents
Familiarization with the HR Database
Shadowing during interviews & employee selection (conducting reference checks, offer discussions…)
Introduction to the different HR tools used during recruitment and hiring as per MC set policies & procedures
Shadowing during the processing of Employee Attendance, Leave Requests, Absenteeism……..and processing new hires for the payroll in coordination with the Finance Department
Organizing and keeping track of personnel documents
Familiarization with the filing system (recruitment documents, personnel documents, job files, timesheets…)
Following up on the related clerical aspects of vacancies and employment such as personnel request forms, posting job ads…
Managing the database of received job applications
Providing general administrative and clerical support to the HR Team members as needed.
The Trainee will have the exposure to meet with the different departments during the training period
