Senior Digital Campaigner Associate - Hrr011 - G7 - Beirut, Lebanon

The MENA region is currently hosting the biggest displaced population in its history. As of January 2016, the total number of Syrian refugees has exceeded 4.8 million. Of these, more than 1 million are hosted in Lebanon. The Syrian refugee population in Lebanon is the largest in the world and represents a significant percentage of Lebanon’s total population. In Lebanon, life is a daily struggle for many Syrian refugees, who have little or no financial resources. Around 70 per cent live below the poverty line on less than USD 3.84 per person per day. There are no formal refugee camps and, as a result, more than a million registered Syrians live in over 1,700 communities and locations across the country, often sharing small basic lodgings with other refugee families in overcrowded conditions. UNHCR established digital connections to bring a broad base of supporters and leadership partners closer to refugees / PoCs and UNHCR’s work / mandate beside establishing and strengthening relations with different public and private sector partners in the MENA Region to cover funding gaps through digital and traditional multi-channel outreach. In support of IG programmes in the MENA region, PSP needs to hire a Senior Digital Campaigner Associate to produce UNHCR Digital Campaigns and appeals across platforms, develop media plans, besides, developing monthly reports on digital campaigns, performance and infrastructure   Accountability (key results that will be achieved) Responsible for achieving agreed income and engagement KPIs from different channels and campaigns. Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) Design and implement strategy and messaging, and lead and guide the creative, copy, and deployment of UNHCR’s digital appeals and campaigns along with the digital creative unit. Oversee and manage the frequent and timely creation and delivery of digital materials such as (Video, Display, Search, Email, Social Media etc…) through working closely with the different members in the digital team. Maintain a close eye on the digital fundraising and social media spheres to be able to react quickly to potential opportunities and emulate successes they come across. Identify and produce compelling content for use in the solicitation, cultivation, and engagement of supporters and donors through UNHCR’s digital platforms and beyond. Manage the relationship & deliverables with external suppliers and coordinate on a daily basis with media agencies to ensure the timely and effective executions of plans and calendars. Deliver on the elements of the online communication strategy for acquisition and lead development work. Coordinate with different stakeholders to execute strategy and secure support for campaign plans. Develop and implement plans to improve and grow UNHCR’s digital presence, online communities and brand recognition in the MENA market and Arabic language. Develop a total understanding of online target audiences and personas for digital audiences across the MENA region based on analysis and feedback mechanisms from different team members. Develop and manage procedural systems and best practices that help ensure smooth, fast, and effective multichannel campaigning for emergencies. Be responsible for testing, monitoring, and analyzing new and existing digital tools, and performing review and analysis of campaigns to feed into planning and continuous enhancement of operations. Ensure PSP's digital platforms are well maintained to provide users with a friendly, efficient and engaging digital experience. Manage and grow UNHCR's social media presence and online community, responding to comments & engaging with audiences, when appropriate, in order to advance brand visibility, foster a positive community and add value to the user's experience. Manage and report detailed analysis of all campaigns including establishment of measurable engagement and response rates, conversion rates, and ROI for all campaigns. Perform other related duties as required. Authority (decisions made in executing responsibilities and to achieve results) Day-to-day management of multiple Digital Campaigns, including planning, monitoring, optimizing as well as analysis and communication of results to Fundraising Officer.  Work with the PSP Arabic digital hub team to achieve annual budget targets by implementing effective and engaging online.

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position. Completion of Secondary Education with Certificate/training preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences and/or Advertising, and/or equivalent work experience. Candidates with a degree in other disciplines with a proven relevant professional record will be accepted. Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in the development and implementation of online digital strategies for acquisition and engagement purposes. Experience in project management and strong analytical skills. Strong writing and communication skills and the aptitude to handle competing messages and priorities with multiple audiences, including experience in writing for the web. Proven ability to present and communicate new projects to a varied audience. Proven skills in communication, networking, strategic thinking, and advocacy.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES.
Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc. Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams and to take a leadership role. Cultural sensitivity – the ability to work effectively cross culturally and adapt communications style as needed to foster collaboration Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search” and “Social”. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities within specified time frames. Experience in reporting on qualitative and quantitative analytics. Works with cross-functional project teams to create and implement short and long-term online marketing strategies.
