The Media Officer will ensure that MCF's mission, vision, values and activities are well known and appreciated by the public and main stakeholders. S/he is responsible for planning, implementing and measuring MCF's visibility, and campaigns on social media. S/he will coordinate with all of the departments and programs build up MCF's reputation and brand identity on social media and will work with the executive director and program coordinator to ensure tactical and strategic campaigns off-line and online.
Main Duties:
-Regular quality posts on social media accounts on MCF's related activities and other related issues that concern its mission.
-Coordinate and manage MCF's newsletter, website and visilibty on media. Knowledge of Wordpress is a must and basic practical skills in design for consistent brand posts is also strongly encouraged.
-Ensure that all activities are properly displayed and published on various social networking and media sites
-Conduct regular communications, visibility and marketing needs assessments and research for MCF
-Create creative concepts to enhance MCF's visiblity on any platform.
-Establish PR contacts in various sectors to keep MCF's brand and mission well known to all potential partners and stakeholders.
-Collaborate closely with MCF's team on any activity if needed.
-Participate in daily meetings if needed
-Submit weekly and monthly reports on insights and progress.
-Ensure that all work outside activities must be approved by the executive director
Competencies:
-A minimum of 3 years practical experience in managing media accounts for an organization
-An established record of accomplishment in marketing planning and management
-Knowledge and understanding of NGOs and nonprofits and the media sector in Lebanon, region, and globally.
-An ability to be proactive in developing plans, activities and relationships with stakeholders
-Experience with the use of IT, online and social media tools to advance organizational communications and visibility goals
-Ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines
-Self-motivated, intelligent, articulate, detail-oriented and able to manage and complete multiple tasks and assignments
-Strong team and collaborative work skills
-Excellent strategic thinking enhanced with ability to achieve results
