Visa And Travel Officer

ICRC is recruiting a "Visa and Travel Officer" The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been present in Lebanon since 1967 and has carried out its humanitarian work through different periods of conflict, including Lebanon’s 15-year-long civil war from 1975–1990. We are currently responding to the rapidly growing needs of displaced people fleeing war and violence across the region into Lebanon as well as the local communities hosting them. The ICRC activities on behalf of people affected by war and violence in Lebanon include, but are not limited to, ensuring people affected by conflict can get access to basic health care, services such as water and electricity and restore their economic security, securing humane treatment and conditions for detainees, building respect for the IHL and supporting the families of the missing persons. We are based in Beirut and have offices in Tripoli, Tyr and Zahle. Job Purpose: The Visa and Travel officer manages visas related to professional trips and residency cards for expatriate staff with embassies, general security and ministry of foreign affairs, and organizes and coordinates all related transportation requests in accordance to operational needs.  In addition, he/she supports in the travel arrangement and ICRC event organization. Your Profile: University degree or equivalent diploma 3 - 5 years’ work experience in a similar field Good knowledge of written and spoken English.   Good computer skills (Microsoft office) Excellent organizational and methodical skills Good communication skills Function description:        Transportation, Visas, residency cards Organizes all the transportation requests, visa and residency card requests Maintains contact with Taxi companies Follows up on the statements on a monthly basis with the taxi company Communicates properly with the requester concerning the transportation, visa and residency card arrangements Ensures Logistical support for all the movement Ensures the necessary administrative related wor Ensures good customer service for concerned file Keeps lists about the visa and residency cards status update Keeps filing related to handled cases Prepares visa application and obtain necessary visas for professional trips Prepares visa application and obtain necessary private visas Prepares the document and submit it to the MOFA to obtain residency cards        Other tasks Supports the team in their tasks (travel, accommodation, events organization…) Prepares on a timely manner the corresponding invoices to handled cases Prepares statistics report on a monthly basis on the activities What we offer: Working for one of the main humanitarian organization.
