Background:
The Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA) was established in May 1999, as the Lebanese chapter of Transparency International. It is the lead organization in Lebanon focused on curbing corruption and promoting good governance. LTA brings together business people, academics, economists, lawyers, and intellectuals to fight corruption, improve the quality of life, and encourage civil society to take measures towards transparency and accountability.
The primary responsibilities of the Communications Intern are to:
Assist the team with any administrative or operational tasks that may be required
Regularly research on cases of corruption within Lebanon and the MENA region as well as organize and update LTA’s database and publish on social media platforms.
Liaise with local partners and the LTA communications department to publicize LTA and LALAC’s services.
Create and publish informative visuals on social media platforms
Coordinating in drafting newsletters and other reports.
The Intern should have the following qualifications:
BS/BA in either Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or any related field.
Skilled in Photoshop (or any other photo-editing program)
Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
Commitment to transparency, good governance, and anti-corruption.
Strong desire to learn.
* A daily stipend of 8,000 LL will be paid to the intern to cover transportation costs
