Youth Officer

The Nawaya Network is an NGO that develops the employability and entrepreneurial skills of underprivileged and marginalized youth.   One of the programs is called "Nawaya Impact Lab", in partnership with UNICEF, which trains unemployed Lebanese and refugee youth on how to generate innovative, income-generating solutions to problems in their communities.  To learn more, please visit: http://www.nawaya.org/impact-lab In 2016, Nawaya reached 650 youth from Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian backgrounds throughout the Beirut area.  In 2017, the aim is to reach 2,400 youth in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and the South.   We are seeking a Youth Officer who can fulfill the following responsibilities: Works directly with advancing youth teams Supports the work of the Business Coach and Fundraising Specialist  Contacts the youth and makes appointments  Does field visits to support the implementation of the pilots on a field level Provides support for youth by identifying resource opportunities Finds local NGOs and stakeholders for community projects  Meets with youth to evaluate their progress and needs Communicates to the Nawaya team the updates of the youth in the field  Does field visit during training to identify strong teams (soft skills) Open communication between youth officer and field officer
