Job Purpose:
Drive, responsible for the maintenance and readiness of the vehicles, ensure optimal performance and cleanliness when the vehicles are in use for INTERSOS, responsible for safety of the team and transported goods by the INTERSOS vehicles
Generic Duties:
- Assist with projects as requested by logistics team
- Transport INTERSOS employees and other designated persons and supplies to and from various locations throughout the country
- Adhere to speed limits and Lebanese traffic laws
- Morning daily inspection of the vehicles each time before driving and make sure that all vehicle documents are in order as required by Lebanon’s regulations and norms;
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is in good working order through daily checks of: radiator water, battery acid and terminal integrity, transmission oil (in the case of vehicles, ensure the differentials are fully lubricated), fuel, air cleaner, brakes, all turn signals, all lights, power steering fluid (if applicable), communication equipment, and other pertinent vehicle functions;
- Ensure that the tank of vehicle is full each day before the beginning of the working day (overnight the tank must be full in case of night time emergency) and prior to reporting to duty;
- Take care of all safety measures, including seatbelts, spare tire, manual jack, and other tools for replacing tires when needed;
- Inform supervisor immediately when vehicle requires service (repairs or regular maintenance), when problems arise concerning vehicle operations, and all other instances of vehicle malfunction, or as indicated on service log;
- Follow security protocols for displaying the INTERSOS logo while driving during working hours;
- Fill the Log sheet with all the information required (date, time, location, destination, fuel consumption…)Assist INTERSOS staff with the logistics, administrative, procurement, such as but not limited to photocopying, purchasing material and goods, moving equipment and items, etc…;
- May be asked to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.
Specific Duties:
(Can be adapted to the particularities of the job location and the requirement of the project. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired).
1- To transport authorized passengers on their official duties, as well transport cargo safely and as instructed. This includes collecting materials from project sites and suppliers.
To adhere to INTERSOS policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Understand and obey all traffic laws and regulations.
- Accurately keep the vehicle log sheets.
- Performance of daily vehicle inspections according to INTERSOS standards.
- Applying the standard regulations and procedures in case of accident.
2 - Ability and willingness to undertake frequent trips to and from the field offices, including overnight stays if required.
3 -To travel to all areas in Lebanon without any exception for any location.

4 - Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.
5 - Assist logistics assistant maintain properly the community centers (building, electricity, plumbing, equipment etc.) and report eventual problems to line supervisor.

Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Professional Competencies:
- 2 years of relevant driving experience.
- Minimum of 25 years old.
- Complying with INTERSOS standards, policies and guidelines.
- Ability for reacting in emergency and security situations.
- Methodical and organised (in vehicle maintenance).
- Basic car maintenance knowledge.
- Good knowledge of local area.
- Can drive manual and automatic cars.
- Valid Lebanese driving licence.
