Position Summary:
The Livelihood Field Coordinator is in charge to support the Education Program Manager, project partners and communities in the development, implementation and monitoring of key project activities. The Livelihood Coordinator should lead the project team in innovation and introduction of disaster resilient livelihood approaches. In addition to identifying the needs and openings of skill based, low investment demanding and environment friendly livelihood policies.
Responsabilities:
Support youth and livelihoods related activities (Skill Based Training Courses; Apprenticeships; Youth Led Activities) across project sites
Follow up with project partners, Monitor attendance and performance to ensure that activities are delivered according to the expected results and the terms of contracts
Act as a liaison between communities and ANERA office; maintain good relationships with beneficiaries and local leaders/authorities; and represent ANERA while in the field
Build strong relationship with local partners and youth target groups and represent the project before the partners when required
Identify partners and linkages (private sectors, NGO, and local government partners) to support youth and livelihoods- related interventions.
Handle the daily follow up on the project’s activities in the field, and ensure that the technical aspects of the project are running in accordance with the project’s objectives and strategies
Ensure smooth implementation, and effective use of the available resources
Ensure regular, good quality reporting for internal use on the status of on-going programming
Conduct a market assessment of the areas of intervention and determine program intervention priorities based on needs and existing resources.
Assist in the recruitment of qualified livelihoods staff (trainers, and apprenticeship mentors) as needed.
Assist in developing tracking and monitoring tools to ensure SBTC program implementation is on track and of highest quality.
Any other task relevant to the position and agreed upon with program Manager
Requirements and qualifications
Degree in Social Sciences, Business development or other related field
Minimum two years of professional work experience in livelihood centered approaches on poverty and vulnerability reduction, micro enterprises and fund management.
Proficient and experienced in planning, monitoring and reporting of project activities in relevant field.
