Architect (For Eco-Tourism And Construction Projects)

JOB SUMMARY A qualified Architect is required to offer consultancy as well as implementation of design works and services covering all engineering aspects (Structural, Electro-Mechanical, and Architectural) mainly related to Eco-Tourism and Construction Projects. He/She shall be providing technical assistance for the municipal projects under BALADI Program including elaboration of feasible concept and preliminary design, submittal of detailed execution design with drawings, technical specifications and BOQs…, site visits, along with the monitoring and evaluation of work during project execution TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Elaborate and evaluate project proposals as well as feasible concept and preliminary design, fulfilling the local and international Good Engineering Practices and USAID Regulations. •Review with the intention to identify technical issues where possible improvements may be introduced to enhance the design efficiency that may in turn reflect on the construction, operation and maintenance of the project. •Submit a detailed execution design covering all engineering aspects (Structural, Electro-Mechanical, and Architectural) with drawings, technical specifications and BOQs… in compliance with the local and international Good Engineering Practices and USAID regulations. •Review the Environmental Aspects available. •Review the detailing and scale of illustration. •Review the handicapped accessibility measures in compliance with the local and international Good Engineering Practices and USAID regulations. •Elaborate a Quality Control Plan and a detailed workplan for the whole set of engineering parts of the projects in hand. •Review proper selection and use of equipment as well as construction materials, and assist contractors on all project components. •Conduct site visits and supervise implementation of site works where needed. •Analyze, identify and resolve all technical issues in the projects in hand. •Summarize, evaluate and update on a regular basis the GACM in accordance with the established planning schedules
