Wash Community Mobilizer

 ACF is looking for two Community Mobilizors, based in Tyr. The hiring will be finalized only after receiving validation of the fundings. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES ACF is implementing a Solid Waste Management project in Saida District, in the area of Zahrani. ACF is looking for two community mobilizers to conduct field assessment, conduct awareness sessions and activities and to support WaSH Deputy Program Manager on the activities follow-up at field level. The two community mobilizer will be responsible for household and municipal assessments, conducting awareness sessions and activities, and also support in the monitoring of beneficiaries aftrr conducting awareness sessions and activities.   DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1 : Ensure the primary sorting at household level Identification of target HHS Distribution of domestic recycling equipment to enhance the solid waste situation throughout the project and to evaluate the behaviour change and habits in dealing with solid waste. Participate in the dissemination activities about the program, and in the field assessment. Support in the design, implementation and/or monitoring of any relevant activity belong to the project. Be in charge of organizing the meetings, training sessions and follow-up sessions(planning, group) Be involved in any evaluation on field survey implemented by ACF Informing and documenting the anomalies and the challenges carried out in the water managment, and the material necessary for the programme's activities. Objective 2 : Conduct awareness campaigns for Solid Waste Management among local civil society Supervise the expert consultancy to ensure understanding and needs of the communities on solid waste managment at domestic level. Conduct awareness sessions and field activities of a set of best practices for solid waste management at municipal and household, within the expert consultancy. Supervise the expert consultancy in the monitoring process after awareness sessions and activities with a particular focus on indicators related to access to water and quality of water under the title of behaviour change. Be in charge of organizing the meetings, training sessions and follow-up sessions (planning, group..) Participate in the impact and satisfaction survey after the training sessions Informing and documenting the anomalities happened during mobilization campaigns, and possible improvement necessary for the activities Objective 3 : Data collection and reporting Data collection and recording ragarding the project indicators and the potentials beneficiaries Report every day the problems to the program responsible Report daily activities, incidents and achievements Provide weekly reports to WaSH Deputy Program Manager Report the use of materials and possible improvement Maintain an accurate reporting and data managment of the activities Objective 4 : Security Respect the security rules specified in the mission and the base security plan and perform the security managment tasks that can be assigned in its protocols Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan Objective 5 : Support all ACF activities Support emergency interventions, as per the employee's competences Support any activity that helps achieving ACF humanitarian goals, as per the employee's capacities Participate in new assessment Support other activities if it is needed Note: This job description is not exhaustive and may be changed or amended by the WaSH Program Manager when necessary, according to the base needs KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Degree in social work, or teaching Knowledge in technical training in implementation of basic hygine or waste management capacity building programs and health/environment Experience in community mobilization and participation, experience in a similar position, local language speaker.Previous experience in conducting assessments and data entry Reporting capacity organized and rigorous, hard worker availability /learning capacity - Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy, flexible with respect to job priority-Comminication skills-Coaching skills-Agrees with the principles and objectives of ACF. Working language in English written and speaking. Arabic is a must Windows domain, compulsory expertise in Excel
