Project Coordinator

Position Summary:    The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the project, working under the guidance of the Project Manager. This will ensure support and trouble-shooting for implementation, while the Project Manager can also focus on coordination, quality control, and more strategic planning to cover all needs of the project. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for compiling the necessary information from the implementation team in order to draft the monthly and quarterly reports, which will be finalized by the Project Manager before submission. The Project Coordinator will also provide weekly updates at the field level and other ad hoc reporting as necessary. Responsibilities and Duties: Act as the liaison and point of reference for the implementation team members while providing daily follow up and supervision of the project’s implementation plans; Professionally represent RI at inter-sectoral working groups, interagency, and other meetings as required in the designated areas of intervention. Proper feedback regarding these meetings should be regularly reported to the Project Manager; Establish professional coordination with NGOs, INGO and host government agencies operating in the designated areas of intervention. This will require the job holder to meet regularly with representatives from these organizations and identify areas of collaboration and coordination; Assist the Project Manager in the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports; Work closely with RI's program staff and partner organizations to ensure the proper implementation of activities in the targeted areas; the job holder must report any obstacles or risk areas to the Project Manager; In coordination with Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist in designing and will be responsible for implementing the programs’ work plan in the designated area. This includes supervising and following up on the deliverables of program staff which includes but not limited to: Field Officers, Liaison Officer, and Nutrition Advisor; Provide general guidance and support to program staff, whenever requested; Design training material and content to designated parties which might include staff and stakeholders, when required; Support in the development programs’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) whenever requested by the Project Manager; In coordination with the Community Liaison Officer, engage with municipalities and other local authorities to ensure constant and consistent coordination to facilitate access to the designated areas of intervention;    Assist, when requested, in the development of TORs, recruitment, and training of field staff; Ensure proper mobilization and daily implementation of project's field activities through constant internal coordination and regular follow up with relevant RI staff in all departments (HR, Operations, Finance, and M&E), in coordination with the PM. Follow up on the quality of the project activities in coordination with M&E department and Project Manager; Maintain constant updates on community status (Refugee and Host) in the designated areas of intervention, communicating any updates to the Project Manager and RI programs’ staff as necessary.  This includes the evolving security situation in the targeted areas; In coordination with RI's Project Manager, M&E Team, and RI program staff, compile program activity information, evaluating progress towards achievement of program outcomes; Maintain good inter-team dynamics and communication to ensure proper implementation of program indicators and professional employee relations;   QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment. Minimum of three years professional experience working in emergency response programming; Demonstrated knowledge of the designated area, including geography, key actors on the ground, the refugee situation; Proven data collection and data management experience; Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required; English and Arabic fluency required; English writing skills required; Experience in monitoring and evaluation implementation a plus; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently; Experience working with refugee populations in emergency response context; Willingness and ability to travel to field locations, when requested Demonstrated sensitivity to vulnerable conditions of the target population, and ability to effectively communicate with beneficiaries and other stakeholders; Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
