The Associate Information Management Officer (RAIS) will be responsible for coordinating the tracking of assistance at individual and household level by inter-agency partners (implementing and operational partners of UNHCR). In addition to that, s/he will be assisting in the analysis, production and dissemination of information on the population of concern and interagency operations. The incumbent is in charge of maintaining and administering the Refugee Assistance Information System (RAIS) at national level. The incumbent is a member of the IM team and will report to the IM manager. S/he may act as focal point for data collection and assessment activities. The position will interact with all operational partners of UNHCR. S/he will be required to provide training support and capacity building for partners and UNHCR field staff.

- Global data standards, and where appropriate, the establishment of country-specific common data standards are adopted by UNHCR and its partners.
- The Office's capacity to deliver high quality reports and maps to the operation and the sectors, including to headquarters, is reinforced.
Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)
- Manage agreements (including data sharing) with partners by liaising with UNHCR programme and data protection focal points.
- Develop data collection standard operating procedures for targeting and assistance tracking.
- Centralize the data storage of all household and individual level assessments on RAIS.
- Manage accounts on RAIS – partners, users and distribution sites in coordination with RAIS focal points in the field.
- Liaise with regional data analysis group DAG on new features development.
- Assist in training of staff involved in information management activities, including data collection and data entry teams.
- Establish data quality assurance and control processes.
- Outreach to operational partners to promote the use of RAIS.
- Operationalize country-specific common data standards and promote them with partners, including UNHCR data standards and the IASC Common Operational Datasets.
- Align RAIS assistance services to UNHCRs RBM objectives and outputs.
- Compile, aggregate and analyse data and information elements required to produce standardized information products and implement data/information collection plans for baseline and context-specific data.
- Support the operation in the analysis of processed data and information and perform data quality and consistency control.
- Share data and reports with partners and stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as required.

- Liaise with partners and represent UNHCR in meetings related to the functions.
- Make recommendations and provide advice on the technical information management requirements.
- Assist in training of data entry and data collection teams.

- Proven skills to analyse statistical information.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, functions, etc.).
- Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures.
- Experience with handling confidential data and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies.
