Health And Hygiene Trainer

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The project Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools aims to contribute to the realization of child well-being through promotion of access to and use of, safe water & basic sanitation services. In addition the project helps to build the capacity of the students and their teachers on the practical application of hygienic behaviors. Every child in the school will learn the important WASH initiatives that keep the school environment clean and inhibit the transmission of harmful bacteria and viruses. THE PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING: Parent leaders have an important role in monitoring the impact of WASH in Schools interventions and taking appropriate measures to improve children’s health. The Health training will be provided to Parent Leaders of four schools in Mhammarat, Bourj el Arab and Bebnine . The training will include:  Developing adequate knowledge, attitudes and skills on hygiene related tyo issues such as, pathways of disease, handwashing methods and critical times emphasizing the use of soap, menstrual hygiene management and maintaining a clean environment free of garbage  Peer to peer approach to hygiene behavior change  Motivating the parents to make decisions, if the adequate facilities(toilets ) are not available at the schools EXPECTED OUTPUTS: Evaluation report in English TIMELINE: The Trainings are expected to be held in November & December 2016 and will continue in January and February 2017. They will take place in Mhammarat, Bourj el Arab and Bebnine. NUMBER AND LOCATION OF TRAINING: Training Center :Es Salam Public school block A & B , Arab El mafrak mixed public school & bourj el Arab public school ,Al Mourabi George Farah Public school NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS: - Background in public health, hygiene and social work - Previous experience in implementing health activities with adults - Strong Arabic communication skills - Flexible and good organizational skills - Good knowledge about the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects For interested applicants, Please send the following: 1.
