Animator Team Leader Assistant In Jbeil

INTRO Terre des Hommes Italy, non-governmental international organization, is recruiting an Animator Team Leader Assistant in Jbeil to be involved in the implementation of the project “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and Lebanese vulnerable girls and boys and their caregivers through community based and Psycho-Social Support activities building up their resilience, and provision of Case Management services”.   JOB PURPOSE The Animator Team Leader Assistant will closely work with the Team Leader of SDC Jbeil.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  To assist the Team Leader in coordinating the implementation of activities in the SDC of Jbeil; To ensure the application of child protection standards during the activities; To assist the Team Leader in coordinating the planning of PSS activities in collaboration with the Coordinator; To perform regular assessment on the quality and the content of the intervention; To provide necessary technical support to enhance and sustain the quality of the services provided under the supervision of the Team Leader; To refer beneficiaries with special needs, and follow up the referred cases' conditions in collaboration with the Social worker, Team leader and coordinator; To monitor protection risks and needs and identifying protection cases; Assist the Team Leader in reporting to the PM/PSS coordinator on regular basis on both technical and organizational level; To ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, support staff in all monitoring processes; To assist the Team Leader in collecting the daily reports of the Animators; To support the Team Leader in providing monthly and weekly reports on progress of activities in the center; To assist the Team Leader in organizing weekly meetings with Animators and Volunteers, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences; Ensure the collection of quantitative/qualitative data; Any other task relevant to the position.    Experience and requirements  University degree in social work, education, or a related field. At least 4/6 months of experience with NGOs in community based work, preferably protection-related projects; Experience  in psychosocial support activities; Strong understanding of refugee issues in the current Lebanon context; Experience in community mobilization in deprived communities; Good knowledge of the area/region and its local customs; Excellent communications skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural issues and ability to work with refugee and host community populations; Written and oral communication skills in English high preferred; Positive, respectful attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving; Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations; Capacity to work in team and flexibility to take on new tasks; Significant knowledge and understanding of the current political, economic, cultural and historical context of Mount Lebanon preferred; Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds; Cultural sensitivity and adaptability; Computer Literacy.
