BACKGROUND
The Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD) is a five year program funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented under the leadership of
Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI). LIVCD Project aims to increase the competitiveness of selected
value chains, expand the number of Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises that can compete in
selected markets, improve linkages between those firms and other actors throughout the value chain,
increase the gross value of products and services in local and export markets, and expand exports.
OBJECTIVES (SCOPE)
The LIVCD project requires robust information systems to manage all project data and support flows
of relevant, accurate and valid information for the benefit of a range of stakeholders (project staff and
management, USAID, and beneficiaries) who have a variety of information needs.
SPECIFIC TASKS
1. LIVCD Quarterly Reports: The KMOS will assist in preparing the Quarterly Reports, based on input
from the LIVCD technical team. Specific tasks include:
- Assist in preparing the Quarterly Report template for approval by COP/DCOP.
- Collect relevant information from project records and team members.
- Assist in drafting Quarterly Report narrative, focusing on non-technical presentation of LIVCD
interventions and results in the Value Chains and Cross-Cutting themes for a public audience.
2. LIVCD Annual Reports: The KMOS will support preparation of the Annual Report, based on input
from the LIVCD technical team.
- Update Annual Report template for approval by COP/DCOP
- Collect relevant information from project records and team members, in collaboration with Project
Manager.
- Draft Annual Report narrative, focusing LIVCD interventions and results in the Value Chains and
cross-cutting themes.
- Draft Annual Report of Performance Indicator results (per the LIVCD M&E Plan / Results
Framework).
- Collaborate with M&E Team to submit annual results to AidTrackerPlus and Feed the Future
Monitoring System, including preparation of narratives accompanying each result reported as required
by each reporting system.
3. LIVCD Workplan Year 5 (September 2016 – August 2017):
- Review the LIVCD Workplan Year 5 upgrading strategies, planned interventions and tables prepared
by LIVCD project technical team
- Confirm and/or update the projected targets for the LIVCD Performance Indicators as needed.
4. Review content of LIVCD outreach and communications material
Ensuring all project material adequately documents impact where appropriate and is consistent with
data collected and reported by LIVCD M&E so that visibility of project impact is maximized.
SUPERVISION
The Knowledge Management and Outreach Specialist will work under the direction of and report to
the Chief of Party.
