Regional Remote Monitoring Manager

Position Summary & Responsibilities: International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.   JOB SUMMARY The Regional Remote Monitoring Manager will be based in the Regional Office and will directly in to the Regional Director. Specific responsibilities include:   Third Party Monitoring in the region a. Coordination of third party monitoring activities for OFDA and DFID in the region with the field teams.  b. Provision of all necessary sites/methodologies/information/focal points to the TPM. c. Follow up with field and coordination for field monitoring visits and submission of reports. Roving Compliance support a. Work closely with the Regional Compliance Manager on identifying gaps in the region and ways to tackle and strengthen the systems. b. Work closely with country office management and relevant HQ departments and serve as a technical resource to provide capacity building, support and guidance. c. Identify vulnerability and risks within current grants and programs and establish controls and mitigation measures. d. Review programmatic checks. e. Oversee safeguards and controls and leads on appointed investigations Facilitation of approaches and engagements with teams in the region by following up: a. On Donor’s assessments and recommendations in the region. c. On the commitments IMC has made to OFDA.  f. On IMC’s activities & updates with donors representatives. Member of and feeding directly in the forum of: b. The Remote Management Team d. The regional Compliance Team.   Other major areas of responsibility: Represent the RD at ad hoc meetings as requested Review reports as required, sit reps, monthly, etc. Proof read critical reports and analysis prior to submission to donors and others Assist where necessary on post-conference follow up to be determined based on agreed upon deliverables and next steps. Regularly visit all field sites to ensure familiarity with any programmatic issues. Take part in all calls concerning country programs and development of activities. Assists in strengthening the overall systems and structures and improve the strategic perspective. Collate countries SOPs on a quarterly basis for review and update information on the regional document Skills & Requirements: • Experience of NGO related programs in the region • Knowledge of the Middle East; • Excellent organizational and proven management skills; • Excellent writing and communication skills • Strong social media, communication and interpersonal skills; and • Arabic, English & French-language skills essential
