Community Mobilization Officer

MISSION Goal / Purpose:   Under the supervision of the Activity Manager and the Outreach Program Manager, the community mobilizer is in charge of the creation, the training, the support and the follow-up of Community Wash Committees in Informal settlements and Collective Shelters hosting vulnerable families amongst Syrian refugees in the intervention area.      Responsibilities: General responsibilities To work on the creation of the committees with the implementation of a comprehensive/ participatory approach with the communities targeted. To ensure that committees are provided with adequate training and to follow-up on their work and impact. Action-related Responsibilities Ensure the good process of all of the stages of the creation of the committees and provide a good support to them. Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the activities  Report activities to the management Represent SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL when necessary (during meetings, or in other SI programs) Maintain an accurate reporting and data management of the activities.   Task Description:   Committees Identification and Creation Inform the community about SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s activities and answer any question related to the organization and the program; Conduct assessments and surveys in the field to identify sites of implementation of the activity Conduct information campaigns and focus groups in the field to ensure and facilitate the creation of the committees Organize and implement trainings in collaboration with the WASH/Shelter department   Follow-up and support Support the committees in their everyday activities Follow-up on additional training or logistics needs they could have and relay these information to the managers Implement additional trainings or activities in order to increase the efficiency of the committees   Monitoring of activities and Reporting Conduct regular monitoring of the good process and impact of the committees Share information with the Outreach and WASH/Shelter teams on a regular basis Conduct other types of surveys in order to measure the impact and effectiveness of the Shelter activities   The above list is a non exhaustive one, nor limitative.
