Community Facilitator

INTRO Terre des Hommes Italy, non-governmental international organization, is recruiting TWO Community Facilitators to be involved in the implementation of the project “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and Lebanese vulnerable girls and boys and their caregivers through community based and Psycho-Social Support activities building up their resilience, and provision of Case Management services”.   JOB PURPOSE The Community Facilitator will engage with the community, partners and stakeholders to facilitate information provision, awareness and training sessions. The community facilitator will also support social workers and case workers in identification and referral.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To coordinate the implementation of outreach activities in each of the areas covered by the project through volunteers, supervising them and doing periodical reports on the activity. To maintain regular contacts with the local stakeholder, with a specific focus on Syrian Community residing in the area, Lebanese local Community and Local Authority. To conduct Community Outreach activities (home visits, focus group, community meetings). To support in the preparation of special events, recreational, cultural and sport activities together with project staff. To participate in coaching and training sessions. To support preparation and implementation of Awareness sessions. To perform all organizational and administrative work related to outreach team, including regular reporting to the Community Empowerment Officer and Project Manager To assess the needs of beneficiaries and to contribute to the implementation of a referral system. To maintaining regular contacts with the referral organizations and other stakeholders, to feed back the referral system. To report any kind of abuse. To plan and request the material needed for the activities of the community Empowerment team Keep a database of stakeholders and local partners To comply with the TDH IT Code of Conduct Any other task relevant to the position.    Experience and requirements  Education: University degree on social and behavioral science, preferable social work or any other related field 1 year work experience in child protection programs in development or emergency, preferable community mobilization or facilitation or social work Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoy field work Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children Good communication skills Time management and organizational skills Microsoft Office: Word and Excel is a must Valid Lebanese driving license Written and oral communication skills in English preferred Positive, respectful attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving
