Job Summary The customer database surveyor will be responsible for the implementation of the customer surveys in the field under the UNHCR project in North Lebanon Governorate. This includes working with beneficiaries, stakeholders and local municipalities on the social engineering approach that has been developed for this project. He/She will report directly to the social coordinator. His/her duties will include executing the surveys in the field, reporting the results to the social worker, identifying and mentioning all possible issues arising during his/her activities in the field. Duties and Responsibilities Programme Implementation 1. Conduct customer surveys in the field for the UNHCR project: a) Go to the various municipalities where Concern is working under this project to collect information from beneficiaries or other stakeholders b) Use of Concern’s IT tools for the implementation of the surveys in the field c) Report the data to the social coordinator, in a clear, precise and correct way, using electronic analytical tools d) Report any issues, questions and remarks mentioned by the customers targeted by the survey e) Participate in disseminating information to the communities through information management tools f) Help with the organization of public meetings with the various stakeholders in the water sector to increase communication and understanding between all parties g) Participate in awareness and information campaigns within the municipalities targeted by the project 2. Maintain paperwork and filing system up to date 3. Provide general support to the programme manager Work Ethic 1. Actively participate in Concern accountability initiatives (communication strategy, participation and CRM for example) ensuring that they are integrated in to the project 4. Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and required  Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Attitude Required  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic 2. Good oral and written communication skills in English 3. Strong analytical skills 4. Excellent computer skills: MS Office, in particular Excel, email 5. Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines 6. Demonstrated ability to interact with other people effectively and diplomatically 7. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality 8. High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny 9. Ability to work within deadlines, prioritizing competing demands and under pressure 10. Ability to negotiate and assist in the resolution of disputes/conflict 11. A belief in empowering marginalized and disenfranchised people 12. Strong empathy skills and genuine care and respect for needs of others especially female refugees 13. Previous experience working with humanitarian organisations is desirable 14. Established network of contacts with local government authorities in North is desirable 15. Non-judgmental attitude and respect for Concern’s beneficiaries, other staff and people that Concern deals with 16. Commitment to humanitarian principles and values 17.
