Project Coordinator

    Enhancing Human Rights Impact Through the Promotion of Local Sustainable Advocacy among Lebanese CSOs  Brief: Overall responsibility for effective and efficient management of the project consistent with the project management cycle. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the execution of the project against the agreed objectives and within the agreed budgets Responsible for accurate budget control and overall responsibility for financial management in line with project proposals. Establish long-term advocacy coordination and implementation. Ensure appropriate administrative, financial and logistical systems/procedures are maintained and adhered to In charge of the project reporting in line with the relevant donor contracts and compliance requirements. Ensure monitoring systems are in place and that project reviews/audits are carried out periodically in conjunction with the team, project manager, local stakeholders and project partners. Initiate and maintain regular, minuted project team meetings Proactively contribute to programme development and strategy. In coordination with the Programs Manager, draw up plans, proposals and budgets for new projects/extensions of projects in conjunction with the relevant team. Optimise, in conjunction with other team members, the use of human, logistical and financial potential. Plan staff requirements in liaison with the programs manager; Where relevant, contribute to job descriptions, staff selection and person specifications. Maintain good inter-team communications, /dynamics, and take suitable action when problems occur. Support team members professionally and monitor and support stress management, including regular documented team meetings for planning and reporting purposes. Carry out representation with other NGOs, UN agencies, local and national government bodies, and other relevant parties as agreed with the ED Qualifications Relevant university degree or similar education Good Knowledge in Human Rights field A good understanding of ALEF strategy and policy Relevant experience in similar contexts Strong management skills Strong communication and team work skills Knowledge of local laws and regulations Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English Able to work independently and energetically Relevant computer skills The ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations Good organizational skills Strong MS Office Skills Team player
