Pdm And M&e Assistant

Under the overall supervision of the Head of office and direct supervision of the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator, the incumbent is to participate in the design and support effective implementation and monitoring of Emergency Response and Stabilization activities. In particular, he/she will perform the following duties:   PDM: Assists in the development of appropriate assessment and monitoring methodologies and tools. Assist in conducting field work assessments, monitoring activities, and baseline/end line surveys. Supports in the regular data collection and quality performance monitoring checks in different locations where the program is implemented. With support from the program team, compile and analyze field monitoring data regularly and create ad-hoc reports when required. Ensure accuracy in  word to word data collection and recording  entries; cleaning , compiling and uploading. Organize and conduct monitoring field visits with IOM-FAO beneficiaries. Regularly undertake field monitoring visits to conduct household interviews, post-distribution monitoring, focus group discussions, and community visits. Ensure monitoring schedule, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to. Organize and conduct interviews, household interviews, and focus group discussions, as instructed  Prepare periodic monitoring reports (as required)  M&E: Participate in the development and implementation of methods to share project information with IOM program manager, FAO, and the field staff. Act as IOM focal point coordinating needs assessments and analysis for the FAO project. Propose and implement recommendations to improve the efficiency of current monitoring systems. Participate in designing, testing, and implementing the project’s survey including tools for data collection and data entry with high professional and adequate statistical standards. Implement quality control mechanisms to improve the quality of the collected information.  Assist in the analysis of  project data and suggest methods to use results for services and project improvement. Track the progress of the achievement of expected outcomes, outputs and activities defined in the project documents. Support the development of evaluations in accordance with IOM Evaluation Guidelines, and the United Nations Evaluation Group Norms, including the Ethical Guidelines and Code and of Conduct. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
