Migration Health Physician two (2) positions

Under the general supervision of the Chief of Mission, the overall technical supervision of the Chief Medical Officer based in Beirut, Lebanon, the incumbent shall perform the following essential functions: Performing migration health assessment and completing related medical documentation of migrants and refugees selected for migration in accordance with the resettlement country’s Medical Examination Guidelines/Protocols for Immigrants and the IOM Migration Health Assessment Guidelines.   Contribute in planning and organizing the work of the Beirut Migration Health assessment Center on a day to day basis.   Assist as clinical reference for pediatric caseload, in close coordination with the CMO and Migration Health Officer in charge of MHAC of the health assessments, when it comes to fitness to travel and recommendations for travel requirements for medical cases.  Support technical supervision and monitoring of IOM medical staff in IOM Beirut MHAC  to ensure that the following activities are performed in accordance with the technical requirements of the resettlement countries:  Medical case registration Medical treatment and follow up programs Data Processing and management Quality control and assurance protocols Pre-embarkation medical examination of departing refugees       5. Contributing to the analysis and technical elaboration of data gathered from the migration health assessment       6. Assist in Coordination with the local/national health authorities, physicians, hospitals and laboratories, UNHCR and other UN agencies, and other health partners in Lebanon. This includes verification of the external service providers input.       7. Assisting in the preparation, design, analysis and implementation of research activities related to the migration health, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases.       8. Assisting in developing potential health and migration projects/programmes for the mission.  9.Travel in the region on mobile missions’ duties, or on medical escorting duties, as might be requested by the technical supervisor. 10.Performing any other related duties that may be assigned by the supervisors.
