Social Worker

The Social Worker is responsible for organizing and coordinating all psychosocial support activities at Kayany Schools in Central Bekaa. He/she reports to and coordinates with the Project Coordinator.   Key Responsibilities Organizes trainings/awareness sessions on Child Protection and PSS sessions. Develops and supervises psychosocial programs for vulnerable and high-risk children. Be the focal point for referrals and the main contact with other entities in coordination with the Project Coordinator. Makes sure the teachers are delivering the needed Child Protection curriculum. Visits families in their homes if needed in the treatment plan. Ensures prompt execution of other tasks, which are within the ambit of the position, which may be requested by the Project Director as needs occur. Reports on progress in resilience sessions.   Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 professional years of experience in the field Proven managerial experience Background in GBV/Protection and communities of Refugees or Displaced people is an asset Knowledge of English and Arabic both written and spoken is required Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Ability to write and edit reports under deadlines Ability to work in multicultural environment Ability to perform under pressure Ability to work independently and respecting deadlines Motivated, hard working, and very reliable Previous work experience in Lebanon or the region is preferred   Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and team working skills Good cultural awareness and sensitivity Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
