Logistics Officer - Quality Controller

Within the framework of the assistance program that the ICRC is carrying out in the region to support Syrian operation which covers mainly the food pipeline, the Logistics department in Beirut is recruiting a Quality Controller to supervise the food parcels production line. 　 Main responsibilities: The Quality Controller is responsible for controlling the quality of incoming non medical goods. He (or she) implements and ensures the smooth running of the quality control policy.　  Ensures that only last version of QC documents (instructions, records and reports) is used for QC and maintains QC records database Ensures that only calibrated QC equipment is used for QC　 Responsible for keeping clean and safe Quality Control area, sample room and Quality Control equipment (identification & inventory list) Plans, coordinates and performs measuring, examining, testing or gauging on items in order to insure that the minimum quality requirements are met Using standard Quality Control documents, ensures Quality checks are undertaken and accurate report is relayed to Quality Control Officer and Technician Ensures adequate control of non-conforming products Reviews current work practices to identify areas in which QC process could be improved and developed;　 Skills and qualifications　 BA degree or equivalent diploma 　 Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality inspection and/or warehousing. 　 Good knowledge of written and spoken English Good computer skills (specifically excel) Confirmed capacity to adhere to general ICRC procedures　 Methodical person　 ISO certificate is a plus
