Organiation Overview :
Since its creation in 1960, the mission of Terre des hommes (Tdh) has been to come to the aid of children in need. It endeavors at all times to defend the rights of children, in times of war and natural disasters, or in less publicized situations of distress. Today, the Terre des hommes Foundation is a significant force among children’s aid organizations in Switzerland and throughout the world. Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programs in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Every year, Tdh offers sustainable solutions and a better future for over one million children and their relatives.
Child Protection Policy:

Main duties and responsibilities:
-The HR Assistant reports to the Human Resourses Officer and carry out the delegated HR tasks properly.
-Regularly exchange information with his/her manager
-Demonstrates high professional attitude and respect the confidentiality of employees and tasks
-Ensure the quality of briefings and debriefings of the employees going into the HR officer.
-Check that the files of the national and expatriate staff are compiled and regularly updated particularly in as regards the CPP (visa, identity papers)
-File the staff administrative documents and monitor staff contracts
-Declare the new recruits to the relevant authorities
-Register expatriate staff with the embassies and local authorities
-Be responsible for his/her own continuing training to develop his/her skills
-Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract
-Draw up and monitor the schedule for annual appraisals in coordination with his/ her manager.
-Provide the administrative organisation for the return of expatriates from their mission (tickets, sending headquarters end-of-contract administrative information)
-Manage the internship application files of nationals, foreigners, and unsolicited applications
-Assist in the delegation's staff recruitment (compilation and publication of the job advertisements according to recruitment requests, arranging interviews, fixing appointments...)
-Assist in the orientation of newly recruited workers' by giving them the relevant documents for signature (internal regulations,procedures handbook, the Tdh background document and the letter of employment...)
-Draw up the contracts for trainees
-Time management and schedules
-Draw up the pay slips monthly
-Assist in the recruitment and dismissal procedures.
-Monitor the staff leave movements and trips
-Support the administration/ HR in looking for training opportunities
-Implement the staff policy
-Draw up work certificates
-Monitor employees files
-Organise and participate in debriefings when staff leave
-Policy of child protection (monitoring and updating the the reference document on PPE
-Make sure the Child Protection Policy is followed at the various recruitment stages and ensure each new employee is trained
