MFRHSU is seeking a Senior Child Protection Case Worker to conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of individual children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence, and their families. The Senior Case Worker will, in collaboration with the Team Leader, have a key role in the delivery of awareness sessions to children and caregivers within the community, the identification and support to Refugee Outreach Volunteers, monitoring and reporting on team activities in collaboration with the Team Assistant, supporting and mentoring less experienced staff within the team.

General duties and responsibilities:
To ensure cases harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals and follow ups for an assigned case load
To provide support to vulnerable children and families with protection concerns in the process of psychosocial support and case management.
To directly with other caseworkers and service providers on management of caseload and referral

Case Management:
Participate in and support the identification of individual cases identified by the team or referred by other agencies.
Conduct psychosocial assessment of highly vulnerable children, including environmental, emotional, behavioural, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact children’s well-being.
Plan with the Team Leader to conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of children and their families.
Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clear outcomes and time-frames.
In collaboration with the Supervisor, advocate with different institutions and service providers in the area of intervention to help beneficiaries to access needed resources and services, and ensure good coordination for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing.
Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness.
Collect accurate and confidential data on GBV service provision using the GBV Information Management System (SGBV Cases)
Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided.
Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases.
Participate in management of the hotline.
Support the Team Leader in weekly casework allocation and planning meetings.
Ensure that data protection protocols are respected.
Be available to participate in meetings and training in and outside the centre including case management meetings, case conference meetings or any other meetings when required.
Communicate regularly with the Team Leader for updates on achievements and challenges
Psychosocial activities:
Participate and collaborate in recreational, psychosocial, awareness activities conducted in or outside of the centre.
Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside of the centre.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Provide daily and weekly updates to the Social Work Team Leader on cases assessed and supported.
Support the Senior Social Worker in the production of daily weekly reports to the Social Work Team Leader, Protection Coordinator and Unit Coordinator.
Contribute to the update of the Makhzoumi Foundation case management system, UNHCR RAIS and maintaining high quality, accurate and confidential case files.
Other:
Promptly report concerns or incidents to MF management and liaise with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for MF programs
Engage with the coaching and training support provided to MF.
In collaboration with the Team Leader, provide support and mentoring to less experienced case workers
Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop MF programs
