Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and direct supervision of the Senior Operations Officer, the incumbent will perform the following functions
Serve as focal point for all reintegration activities and provide advice and feedback to sending missions on case-related inquiries, including conditions in the country or availability of services.
Facilitate reintegration activities for returnees who are eligible per guidelines and SOPs from sending missions.
Assist returnees with drafting or adjusting viable and sustainable business plans.
Authenticate supporting documents presented by returnees and coordinating them with the focal point in sending missions for approval.
Coordinate reintegration activities with the field offices for cases in their respective areas.
Coordinate airport arrival assistance with airport staff and ensure all returnees are assisted as required.
Undertake monitoring missions to assess progress made by returnees in their reintegration and report back to the managing mission.
Maintain a database of returnees and provide reports and statistics as required.
Serve as focal point for Resettlement Selection Missions and their delegations and ensure services are provided and delivered as requested.
Assist in preparing budgets for selection missions in coordination with the Operations Officer, Procurement and Finance departments, and submit to the concerned donor or IOM country mission for approval.
In coordination with Procurement, provide all logistical arrangements as requested or required, incl. venue, accommodation, refreshments, security guards, interpreters, etc.
Liaise with UNHCR and selection mission delegation on the interview schedule and coordinate transportation arrangements to/from the interview site with field offices.
Ensure all refugees are informed of their interview date and any specific requirements related to their interview.
Prepare PRs and other documents related to each mission in coordination with Procurement and HR.
Keep timesheets for on-call staff and carefully inform them about their duties and expected performance.
Maintain a database of selection missions and provide reports or statistics as required.
Participate in discussions on procedures and practices to improve the efficiency of process delivery
Provide guidance and training to new/junior staff
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
