Relief Officer

Main Role The Relief Officer is responsible to implement the Relief components (currently in-kind and cash transfer programming) for the response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis and Lebanese Host Communities while maintaining contact with relevant stakeholders and reporting progress to the Relief Manager.   Essential Responsibilities and Duties   Operational Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with LRC DM Relief volunteers to plan and monitor the correct implementation of specific activities and strengthen the knowledge of LRC DM Relief volunteers Support the Relief teams on branch level through the development of a technically sound (monthly & weekly) work plan and reports consistent with the goals and objectives of the project Provide support to Relief DM volunteers in the field to ensure that the activities meet high quality and best practice standards and escalate any issue to the Relief Manager as required Provide inputs/review data and other documentation on the project to the Relief Manager and support in the reporting process in accordance to LRC DMU established procedures and processes and assist in preparing periodic and ad-hoc reports on operational activities Manage both in-kind and cash transfer-programing activities on a branch level effectively Understand theoretical and operational similarities and differences between in-kind and cash transfer programing, to invest in the day-to-day decisions that need to happen, and to be better able to support branches with interventions, activity planning, and capacity building Update records for the preparation of different reports on cash-based assistance for refugees Implement criteria to raw data and finalize crosschecked and scored beneficiary lists Ensure that monitoring and reports are prepared according to the tools adopted and timely delivered Contribute to tool development, planning sessions, and attend coordination meetings as requested by the Relief Manager Assist in acquainting field operations and other programs in new features and changes to the Relief program tools and systems by assisting coaching and on the job training when required Assist in reviewing changes and instructions on the Relief program and follow up on any change required Undertake regular field monitoring visits and household level verification of beneficiaries Facilitate smooth communication and coordination between DM HQ teams as needed (Support Services, PMER, other Operations Management teams)
