Early Childhood Education Homeschooling (3-6 Years Old) Trainer

• THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY: World Vision is looking for a trainer with a strong training experience on World Vision’s Early Childhood Education (3-6 years old) Homeschooling curriculum. The consultants’ main role is to train caregivers on World Vision’s Early Childhood Education (3-6 years old) Homeschooling curriculum and to provide support to them through coaching visits and follow up. The themes to be covered by the consultancy are as follows: • Develop day-to-day programme activities as per the established 10 sessions of World Vision’s homeschooling curriculum and train caregivers for 5 days on World Vision’s homeschooling curriculum and programming. The language of the training is Arabic. • Conduct two field visits to observe and coach the outreach workers and strengthen their capacities to facilitate the Homes schooling session with caregivers s • Conduct pre-posttests and end of training evaluation with attendees and analyze the results. • Develop training support material in Arabic, (visuals, Power point presentations, videos in Arabic, handouts…) based on the homeschooling curriculum and share it with the outreach workers. Contribute to quality improvement of the current ECE programme content, lessons and activities. • Ensure the homeschooling content and materials procured meets MEHE/CERD standards. DELIVERABLES: • Training Report, including pre-post test results, evaluation forms, training plan… (the template will be provided by WV) • Final homeschooling lessons’ plan (including activities, materials needed, etc) • Training support materials in Arabic, (visuals, Power point presentations, videos in Arabic, handouts…) • Final report in English regarding findings of the consultation, including various sessions facilitated based on World Vison Training report template. CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • Educational background in Early Childhood Education (ECE) • Significant technical expertise in Early Childhood Education and Parenting skills • Several years of experience in teaching/consulting in ECE especially training on ECE homeschooling. • Understanding of regional context • Experience in facilitating trainings • Great communication skills • Good at time management • Good computer skills • Ability to act with appropriate respect towards audience DURATION OF THE CONSULTANCY: The consultant will provide services for WVL from early September through end of November, 2016 as necessary, with possibility of extension (approximately 4-6 weeks).
