Copywriter – G6 – Hrr008 – Private Sector Partnerships Service Unit - Beirut

        UNHCR established digital connections to bring a broad base of supporters and leadership partners closer to refugees / PoCs and UNHCR’s work / mandate beside establishing and strengthening relations with different public and private sector partners in the MENA Region to cover funding gaps through digital and traditional multi-channel outreach. In support of the LG and IG programmes in Lebanon, Private Sector Partnership Service (PSP) needs to hire an Arabic/English Copywriter to help tell compelling stories about refugees and host communities to the world. This includes taking the lead on copywriting for LG fundraising and digital materials for UNHCR and producing top content including text link advertisements, banner advertisements, emails, site content articles, social media content landing pages, newsletters and letters besides creating straplines, slogans, body copy, jingles and scripts Accountability (key results that will be achieved) - Deliver compelling content materials for LG and IG PSP teams on time with input from different stakeholders. - Provide frequent content for emails, social media, and website for the digital team. Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) - Develop highly effective, original and targeted promotional copy for the fundraising department. - Write compelling copy for inbound and outbound marketing and communication efforts that successfully executes the marketing and fundraising strategy. - Write advertising copy for various online campaigns, including coordinated email copy and newsletters. - Write detailed donor use case success stories to engage target audiences and/or highlight the work of UNHCR using storytelling techniques. - Together with the digital unit, present content strategies, with focus on storytelling. - Research and rationale that help stakeholders make informed decisions about content. - Develop content matrices and calendars to track and manage content updates - Creatively utilize campaign related information to create communication materials that will support the fundraising objectives. - Find heroes for the human-interest stories conduct interviews with them and relevant experts and write human-interest stories or interviews. - Compile text from provided sources with evidence-based information, to edit and proofread and re-write texts. Rewording: Take data, information, and products from sources and bring them to life creatively, simply and beautifully. - Develop creative strategies that are forward-thinking and in-line with current media trends. - Regularly audit and inventory online content to identify gaps in quality, compliance, standards, and branding. - Lead efforts to identify new content/communication opportunities, repurpose existing content, and other creative ways to create more meaningful user experiences and efficient processes. - Proactively review electronic digital content and recommend usability improvements (content clarity, brevity, calls to action, & streamlined online navigation). - Collaborate with digital colleagues to develop engaging copy to drive traffic to various micro sites, landing pages, etc. (from paid search, affiliate marketing, etc.) - Work closely with the marketing and business teams to define the voice of our corporate and product brand/s, and convey this in all content strategies. Ensuring consistent message discipline and alignment with UNHCR’S branding guidelines. - Work closely with the LG team on finalizing proposals and reporting copy for LG donors. - Develop highly engaging social media content (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) - Perform other related duties as required. Authority (decisions made in executing responsibilities and to achieve results) - Provide copy for different forms advertisements frequently and on time. - Deliver on concept notes, letters, proposal, and reporting for LG donors. - Brainstorm and propose ideas and concepts to engage public with the refugee's cause.

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

- Bachelor's degree in Communication or Sociology, Journalism, Copywriting, Public Relations or other associated field
- Minimum 6 years professional experience as a Creative Writer/Journalist/Author.
- Expert writing skills, editing and proof reading abilities.
- Ability to write concise, attention grabbing and hard-hitting copy that puts the message across.
- Exposure to writing print promotional materials, online web content, letters, emails, copy to assist advertising and marketing
efforts etc.
- Experience developing and applying brand voice across multiple marketing channels.
- Experience with e-mail marketing best practices.
- Experience with optimizing content for today’s SEO requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of digital media channels and digital advertising requirements.
- Experience in writing social media content. Excellent command over the Arabic and English Language.

- Proficiency in the Arabic language.
- Excellent knowledge/familiarity with the cultural intricacies of the Arab/Gulf countries.

- Ability to adopt content to needs of different target audiences, excellent stylistic skills and Experience in drafting different
types of materials in English and Arabic (human interest stories, interviews, landing pages, social media etc).

- Have excellent knowledge and a passion for online marketing.
- Knowledge of best practices for digital creative, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability.
- Knowledge of e-campaign performance drivers and optimization techniques.
