TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) Strategic CSR Consultancy Lebanon Reforestation Initiative 2016   Background the Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014 and had started as a project launched in 2010 by the United States Forest Service (USFS) Office of International Programs (IP) through the support and funding of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). LRI intends to build on its successful pilot experience in attracting private sector funding for reforestation and landscape restoration projects, will replicate such public-private partnerships for planting activities, and convene private sector partners to fund community reforestation projects throughout the country using innovative funding models that bring together interested donors with successful reforestation groups, nursery and out planting practitioners, and committed municipalities and communities.  To pursue this intention, LRI plans to contract a CSR strategic consultant, to help meet the needs for quality coaching services. The successful candidate will provide technical support to LRI’s private sector engagement component in establishing connections with interested parties from the private sector. Tasks and Responsibilities Help LRI in establishing connections with interested parties from the private sector (meetings/ events) Coach LRI on communicating with representatives from the private sector to understand their goals in CSR. Assist LRI to discover and overcome the private sector’s barriers and set goals Guide LRI in conducting meetings, proposal writing and negotiations with the private sector Provide coaching in effective job techniques Provide support in the development of communication material related to the private sector Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports to submit to LRI The collaboration will not be limited to the above but the above being the main briefed deliverables. The specifications of each assignment will be given when requested Qualifications and Expertise Strong theoretical and practical background in business planning, including knowledge in shared value strategies. Experience in coaching Clear understanding of the needs of the private sector entities in terms of goals for CSR Solid network in private sector companies and previous experience engaging them in CSR projects. Individuals should provide the following: CV; Cover letter; Copy of previous work portfolio; and Proposal/quotation for working approximately 10 days within two months taking into consideration the above mentioned tasks to be completed Deliverables -          Strategy for engaging the private sector in reforestation -          List of Private Sector Companies categorized by CSR strategies and priority of engagement -          First contacts with up to 5 companies -          Review of communication material for private sector engagement -          Consultancy report with recommendations Contract Duration The contract will be effective from date of signing until September 30th, 2016. Terms and conditions of payment 50% upon signature of contract and 50% upon completion of work
