Volunteers For A Summer Camp

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the health, safety and well-being of participants by providing appropriate supervision and structure at all times. Identify and facilitate age appropriate, thematic based lesson plans and activities. Participate in planning sessions and/or staff development sessions with supervisor. Complete necessary reports to monitor student progress and participation; Includes: daily attendance, maintaining child portfolios, Work collaboratively with all program volunteers and staff.  Promote an inclusive, welcoming and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all staff and participants. Create and maintain a positive, youth-focused atmosphere that is consistent and sensitive to the needs of all participants. Attend and actively participate in all required pre-camp trainings. All other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: 1-3 years experience working with youth from 6 to 14 years old. Must possess strong group management skills. Must demonstrate the ability to develop lesson plans. Must be a team player. Open to the different backgrounds of the participants.  A previous experience as a scout is a desirable plus
