M&e&r Coordinator

Makhzoumi Foundation Context:   Makhzoumi Foundation is a private Lebanese non-profit organization, established in 1997. Our ultimate mission is to empower Lebanese citizens - through improving their socioeconomic status, healthcare provisions, and environmental awareness, and by encouraging their quest for education - thereby enabling them to independently develop and progress their local communities, and to subsequently enhance the country’s civil society on a national scale.   For the last three years, in response to the on-going refugee crisis in Lebanon, the Makhzoumi Foundation Relief and Humanitarian Services Unit has been working from our Beirut office to deliver emergency and recovery projects in Hygiene, Shelter, Protection, Health and Livelihood Recovery sectors. The Makhzoumi Foundation is now expanding its remit through a new project to offer new services under the Protection Sector Beginning in with development of services in Beirut & Mount Lebanon. Makhzoumi Foundation will be partnering with IRC and Unicef to establish teams that will provide Case Management, Psychosocial Support & Community mobilization activities to children who are at risk, families in need and women and girls who are at risk of Sexual & Gender Based Violence.      Job Overview/Summary: MF is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation &Reporting (M&E&R) Coordinator who will be based in and work from our Beirut office. The M&E Officer will be responsible for the officers monitoring and evaluation of activities implemented by MF from the respective centres, working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. M&E&R Coordinator will have a key role in establishing and promoting use of the systems and processes in order to strengthen MF RHSU’s capacity to measure and demonstrate strategic impact, ensure accountability to ourselves, children, donors and partners, and to ensure and increase the quality of our work. M&E&R Coordinator will specifically pay particular attention to monitoring and evaluating programme quality, results and impact and systematically integrating accountability and learning in programme management cycle. Additionally, provide recommendations on the methods our organization should use to collect, analyze and manage data to improve data quality and the efficiency of its data system.       Major Responsibilities: Participate in M&E planning process Development, quality control and consolidation of program Indicator Performance Tracking Table, output tracker and other reporting tools Support review of data collection methodology and revision of existing tools or development of new tools Support program staff on data collection methodology and tools, ensuring good practices in data collection are understood and adhered to Produce weekly reports on  relevant statistics Ensure that all data is entered correctly and in time Ensure that different databases are up to date (new entry and updates) and complete and that all incoherent information is promptly corrected. Support learning events, in particular documentation of lessons learned Contribute to progress and impact reporting through sharing anecdotes, observations, quotes from partners and beneficiaries, and photographs. Participate in internal process evaluations and actively contribute to information sharing within MF RHSU. Support implementation of external evaluations at field level Set up accountability systems and processes (complaints/feedback mechanisms, information-sharing, participation processes among others) Support the development and management of a complaints database at field level and ensure timely resolution of complaints Ensure that the minimum standards of humanitarian relief are maintained in the field in accordance with the Core Humanitarian Standard         Key Working Relationships:   Position Reports to: Unit Manager Indirect Reporting:   Job Requirements: Qualifications: University degree or equivalent experience in international development, social sciences statistics or a discipline relevant to M&E&R One to two years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, social science research, or a relevant field.           Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:    Experience and knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and needs/impact assessment methods Skills in implementing information management and performance measurement frameworks. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure in complex, high-speed and challenging work environments. Flexible and strong team worker Proven analytical and problem solving skills Detail-oriented Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, document and share assessment and monitoring results Demonstrated understanding of emergency response activities Experience working on donor-funded projects is highly desirable. Strong sense of personal integrity and understanding of confidentiality and ethics Prepare the Foundation’s quarterly, midyear, and yearly reports Take necessary measures to ensure data compilation, update forms and unit documents Deliver high quality work that supports our global operating environment Formulate a well-organized and professional proposals for new projects to our donors Conduct streamline processes to existing reports  Coordinate with different programs in the foundation regarding proposals and external meetings     Language Skills:  Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills.   Working Environment:  Office work and field trips
