Education Officer

An Education Officer per each geographical area will be employed. He/she will be liaising with the local authorities, the local ministry, the schools principle in order to ensure the best usage of the project resources. He/she will act as a focal point for the centres under his/her supervision. Main tasks: - participate to the regional educational working groups - coordinate with UNICEF and UNHCR at local level to ensure enrolment of children attending to the consortium activities to the formal education once each cycle of NFE is over - participate to the regular meeting organized by the Educational Expert in order to ensure harmonization of approaches, methodology and implementation framework in the schools/centres under his/her supervision. - refer children identified by the local authorities to the activities and vice versa refer children in need of tailored support to the service providers in his/her region of competence. - keep the database of the area. - organize, supervise and implement the assessment activities with a special focus on vulnerability assessment. - organize the awareness campaign, coordinate with UN agencies at area level for the organization of Back to School campaigns and other national campaigns on the importance of education. - participate to the TOT training sessions organized in the frame of the project. - actively participate in the set up of the monitoring tools and supervise the correct usage and implementation of the monitoring plan and system.
